Ten years of award winning shorts.Zanzibar Films and Borderline Productions Alliance
Zanzibar Films and Borderline Productions are pleased to officially announce their cross-border partnership.
Having collaborated in individual roles on various projects over the past 5 years, producers Edwina Forkin, Tom Maguire and Tamara Anghie have formalised their association through the alliance of their two companies.
Dublin based, Zanzibar Films headed by Edwina and Co. Down based Borderline Productions run by Tom and Tamara have entered into a strategic alliance to enable the development and production of a slate of projects.
The partnership’s first co-production, Occi Versus the World, Conor MacDermottroe’s debut feature film is due to start shooting in Sligo in Autumn 2008.
The companies are also co-producers on Audrey O Reilly’s feature film, It Takes Three to Tango and are co-developing a range of documentary, televison and web-based projects.
Each of the producers are graduates of both EAVE and the MEDIA Business School and Edwina is a graduate of the ACE Program. Collectively they have a network of international production partners. This alliance now provides an experienced, unified Irish/UK partnership for multi-lateral co-productions.
The companies have also combined forces on facilities, owning an in-house HDV camera kit with camera and audio accessories and a Final Cut Studio editing suite.
